From September 29 to October 2, 2026, six students from the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) participated in the Global Start-up Design Thinking Hackathon Day at Chung-Ang University in South Korea. All six PTIT students received awards, with three representatives from the Faculty of Multimedia earning two Gold Awards and one Silver Award.

Global Start-up Design Thinking Hackathon Day 2026 brought together 60 students from 15 countries, who were divided into 15 interdisciplinary and multicultural teams. Throughout the competition, participants applied the Design Thinking methodology to address challenges in digital technology fields such as gaming, smart applications, animation, and multimedia communications.

In addition to developing ideas, the teams were required to build business models, refine their solutions, deliver presentations, and defend their start-up concepts before an international panel of judges. Working in multinational teams gave PTIT students the opportunity to strengthen their adaptability, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The event also provided valuable exposure to an international academic environment, allowing students to connect with and learn from young people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Support and Encouragement from the PTIT Board of Management

During the program in South Korea, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, together with the PTIT delegation, attended the opening ceremony and met directly with the participating PTIT students to offer encouragement.

The timely support and encouragement from the President of PTIT provided significant motivation, helping the students enter the international academic competition with greater confidence and determination.
