During the field trip, students had the opportunity to gain first-hand insights from professionals working in the game development industry. Through in-depth discussions, they gained a comprehensive understanding of the game production process, from ideation and concept development to character design, graphics and sound production, testing, and finalization before a game is released to the market.
Detailed explanations of how different departments collaborate in a professional working environment also helped students better understand the interdisciplinary nature of the game industry and the close connection between technology, art, and content creation.
In addition, Gameloft’s professionals shared practical insights into communication strategies, game promotion, and international publishing. From user research and product positioning to the development of multi-platform marketing campaigns, these discussions provided students with a broader understanding of the full life cycle of a digital entertainment product.
The visit not only broadened students’ perspectives on career opportunities but also inspired and encouraged them to confidently pursue their interests in creativity, technology, and the arts in the rapidly evolving digital era.
